Post your suggestions on how to make this social site better. I know security is of a major concern for most of you. I have been looking around for other systems like Pligg/Elgg to improve user experience.

1) self uploaded Or cartooned from your profile pic.
2) Or one which other users rate as to what they think of you.
(Like butty boy could be voted a sailor hat and a moustache).
3) Or simply just a set of predetermined ones which you get after feeling a personality test of some sort.

Admin to me chat is not important, coz the forum is serving the same thing, even if it takes long.
Note that some of us are addicted to KLisst and I have to log in at homa and at work, while at work I use office comp that restrict social networking sites/chats but Klist has been Ok for me while at work, I just think chat engine may make it go to a banned list/social networks- just my way of thinking over it.

Right now, I can think of 2 things:
*Don't include that quote thing like in some other forums. It takes a lot of space.
*Don't teach people how to access any account in KList.

But mainly the second one.

Im not for the idea of a chatroom in Klist. I feel that someone should still be able to post a topic which guys will air their opinions comment by comment. If you havent logged into Klist for 1 month you can still go through listings and pick up the latest jabber. With a chatroom once you log off.....kwisha!!!!

rank a listing. you know....like have a clickable thumbs up and thumbs down to rate a listing (for registered listers ) So guests will have to register for a k-list account to be able to rank. THEN....the most ranked lists can have their own page, same way way there's a page for "most popular listings"

Chamge Admin,

1. I think that idea of creating a ranking system is not a bad idea.
2. The chatroom is also something which would help us to stop "hijacking" listings with random comments.
3. I don't know about that whole "Profile" thing though. I'm not a big fan of MySpace ad FB. So I probably wouldn't bother with creating one and maintaining it.

@shkii - it used to be that way kitambo, notifications via e-mail. won't it prove to be irritating when you have something like 123 replies? that's 123 e-mails. if you're on push e-mail (ya mobile phone) thats 123 message alerts, sometimes in a day!

Lakini jamani, we may be taking this too far.

Don't make it like those social networking sites where you can barely tell what's happening. There's all the applications, games etc that everyone appends to everything else and then you have a color/word/shimmery/etc orgy. Has anyone logged on to MySpace recently? It's actually so heavy you have to wait for like 30 minutes before one page fully loads. And don't get me started on all the extra stuff on FB. All the poking, farming, linking, personality tests etc. It just gets exhausting.

Admin, I hope you'll find that balance in between.

I have searched for supu all times & its like my quest was confronted with concrete. Its hard, i want it to be like when u click on a members name, ur asked if u wish to be friends or fiends with him/her. Make it a bit like FB then lets see how fun its gonna be. 1. Introduce a Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down option for each listing where each registered K-list member can click only once per listing
2. Hide listings with low Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down ratio from showing on the Recent Listings list BUT with the option to display the lsiting if the user wishes.

This will reduce the congestion caused by some random listings- what others call AOB.
